| I need to buy a buffer spring for a A2 stock (with 20" barrel) and have always liked Wolff springs for my 1911. Would the extra power spring be a good choice for my rifle? |

springco.com has some shot peened ISMI ones this is what is given away as prizes for some of pat rogers courses. Red and Blue color coded for ratings
david tubb has some flat wire springs. www.davidtubb.com/tcom_images/ar15_images/cs_buffer.html either of these would be good, I have experience with springco's products, good quality. to me none better. |

| I do not use extra power buffer springs. A standard M16 spring works well. I have seen heavier springs added, and the reliability of the rifle went down, because the bolt would not come back far enough to hold open the bolt. The more extreme cases would not strip a round from the magazine. I look at it this way: the military uses standard springs. If a different spring were more beneficial, the military would have changed to using it. |

The more extreme cases would not strip a round from the magazine. absolutely, I stay with the standard power spring for this reason. but use a better type or that is quality spring. but if you're not sure just use the wolff standard power. those would be better than a action spring of unknown origin. |
