I racked a few bullets the other day and noticed my gun puts a big scratch on the bullet when it gets fed into the chamber.
Is this normal? Sure I can see cases getting scratched but I would think the bullet be left unscathed otherwise it could effect accuracy. |

They're not getting scratched when you chamber, they're getting scratched when you extract. The round is getting caught up on the chamber locking lugs. If you want to extract a round from the chamber without scratching it, you can do it if you maintain pressure on the ejector as you pull the bolt back until the round clears the locking lugs. ~Augee |
