How do I identify a Colt 6920?  A local gun store has a Colt that says "Colts Law Enforcement Carbine"  but it doesn't say 6920 anywhere on it.  The guy working there says it is a 6920.  It's $1800, is that a fair price for NIB?  He also has one that says "Colt Tactical" and I think it had M1A4 marked on it.  That one is $2200.  Why is that one more than the 6920?

My 6920 isn't marked anywhere on the lower, and I've never seen one that was.

If it's NIB ask to see the box. It should say LE6920 on one of the barcoded stickers.

The model number, 6920, does not appear on the weapon. It 's marked just as you said, Colt's Law Enforcement carbine, cal. 5.56mm ,and then "restricted...etc. etc." language on the right side of the receiver.

$1800 is probably a fair price nowadays.  I really dont see prices going any lower, especially after the AG's announcement this morning.  If anything, prices are probably headed up.

Cant wait to see what kind of "deals" the gunshow vendors will be offering this weekend!
