Thanks! I actually went with that rifle since I was planning on getting a Troy rail, Troy sights, and low pro gas block anyway. Figuring the cost of those parts added to the cost of any standard rifle (about $1,250 here in FL) it just made more sense to spend the money up front. Next will be optics and Tango Down vertical grip. I'll likely go with an Aimpoint ML3 and later add an Aimpoint 3X on a LaRue pivot mount I can talk my wife into letting me spend the additional cash. I'm still waiting to determine the "final" cost of this rifle... since I don't know just what new sparkley the wife will find at the jewelry store in retaliation. BTW, I want to give a quick "thank you" to all the guys who've helped me over the past several weeks. I've asked a lot of questions and was always given straightforward, thoughtful answers which really helped guide me to the kind of rifle I wanted. Not surprisingly, this rifle is pretty different than the one I originally thought I had to have. I've gained a ton of knoweldge from this community and need to express my thanks. |

Quoted: The MIAD is something I'll be getting right away. I have pretty large hands and as I've been handling the gun in just the short time I've had it, I can tell the grip is just too small. It's like it was designed for a little girl. great looking rifle man love the look of the free float rails and flip up front sights ....get out there and shoot it! i would also reccomend a Tango down pistol grip or even a magpul MIAD..both are waaay more comfortable then the standard. at least to me! |
