I just picked up a GM Hydromatic bolt carrier from a buddy of mine.  I can't remember how old the M-16 it came from is, but I think the GM's were fairly early.  Is there anything to worry about in terms of the BC's age if it's from the early '60s?  Based upon wear and my knowledge of the rifle it came from, I know it has seem very little use for a 40 year old part.

Thanks!

As long as it looks serviceable, you should be fine.

Thanks––it looks as good as my lightly-used Stag BC.

Not much to physically go wrong with a bolt carrier.

As long as it looks serviceable and shows no signs of corrosion you should be “good to go”.
