[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help please (lower receiver assembly)

Hi all,

I am installing the front takedown pin in my lower receiver and I can find nowhere on the net where it tells you to put the pointed end towards the spring or towards the pin.

I know this will be easy for someone but I am a very black and white person in a grey world.

The front pin is the pivot pin, the takedown pin is the rear.

You want the pointy end of the detent to engage the pivot pin.

Got it, thanks all.

I finally found information on about the 10th google search which said to install it pointy end towards the spring.....glad you guys are still up.

My 10 year old said thanks, this is going to be his gun some day.
