Is it possible to determine if a used barrel is chrome lined?  Mine is a Bushmaster 16" A1 HBar in 5.56.

typically you can look and the muzzle and see, if it is really shiny (chrome like shiny) its probably chrome.

99% chance that puppy is chrome lined.

What are the markings on the barrel?

All factory new assembled Bushys are chrome lined.  With the exception of their stainless barrels.  Markings on my barrels were: B MP 5.56 1/9

One of the things I like about Bushy over RRA is that their barrels are chrome lined as a standard feature (with the exceptions noted above in previous posts).

As another reply noted, you can usually see the "jacket" of the chrome lining looking at the barrel from the muzzle end.

Of course, you will have made god damn sure the weapon is not loaded by checking it three times before you do this.
