I have a middy with a quad rail.

I am currently using the low profile ladder covers on my unused sections of rail. I was thinking about picking up some ladder covers. Every set I look at the only thing they say is X amount of ribs. What does that translate into as far as inches?

IOW Does anyone know the specific length of different rail covers?? SInce I have a middy my handguards are 9", does anyone make a 9" cover or is 7" the best I will find?

As of right now I am not using the top rail or the left rail, I have a VFG on the bottom and a Surfire weapon M951 on the right rail. So for the bottom and right side I can cut panels to make them fit but if at all possible I would prefer for the left and top to be one solid piece.

I bought a set of ladders a couple years ago.  It took one day of shooting for me to ditch them.  IM me your mailing address and I'll send you whatever I have in the box-o-parts.  They've been cut for a carbine length rail.  I may have an extra one that's still full length but I don't remember.  If nothing else you'll get a feel for them before you spend any money.

IMO ladders are over priced for what they are.  I like Tango Down and the new Magpul XTM panels.
