Hey guys, not new to firearms, but definitely an AR newbie. Been lurking for a while now, just want to say thanks for the great site and awesome info floating around here.

I've been researching for a while now, but found a killer deal on my new Stag stripped lower at a gun show last weekend, so I finally pit the bullet so to speak and order my parts. Now my (hopefully not too) excruciating wait begins!

Since this will be my first AR, and I really wanted to build my own, I wanted to keep it pretty simple. So to add to my Stag Arms lower, I decided to go with a Del-Ton rifle kit; mid length flat top upper, 1x9 16" heavy barrel, YHM flip sights, YHM 4 rail free float tube, Badger Tac Latch charging handle, and a green M4 buttstock, green Ergo grip, and a couple green Magpul mags to match my OD green Springfield XD. :P

Plan on picking up some reasonably cheap optics, probably just a 1.5x30 red dot scope to start with. Eventually would like to pick up a longer scope and bipod to work on my longer range skills.

Anyone have experience with a Stag/Del-Ton combo? I know Del-Ton's site quotes 12-16 weeks, but I'm prepared for a longer wait, what kind of wait have people generally been experiencing on their rifle kits?

I've had good experiences with Del-ton. You should be good to go.

Cool, thanks guys!

So what kind of average wait times are people generally experiencing from them? Is the quoted 12-16 weeks pretty accurate, or has it been taking longer than that?
