I saw a picture in the Equipment Exchange of a 40 Round Magazine.  Does anyone know anything about them?  Who makes them? Quality? In-stock? etc?

Thanks

About the only 40 round I'd trust is made by STERLING in England for the AR80 methinks. They're old mags but the ones I have function flawlessly.

Don't quote me, but I think DPMS has a 45rder. Don't know how it is though.

Bushmaster and CDNN sports have 40 rounders.  The Bushmaster probably works decently if they sell it.  The CDNN ones are steel if I recall correctly.

There are also 40 rounders by USA Mag.  Stay far, far away from those.

I'd just buy a few more 30's.

The only 40-rounders I know to work are the Sterlings and the PMIs. I have a couple of PMIs that I fitted with MagPul followers, and they have never let me down. I also have a couple of DPMS 45-rounders, and so far so good with them too. For the most part, any other 40-rounders should be regarded as crap until proven otherwise.

Had two blued steel 40 rounders.

BOTH jammed ugly after first round. After  jam on second clip, bolt release spring broke.
