Hello all,
I've been lurking for 5 or 6 years and decided to bite the bullet and register. First of all, thanks to all the regular posters for increasing my knowledge about the AR15 platform and infecting me with a minor case of "black rifle disease". I'm sure the infliction will continue to grow over time provided the 'obamanation' allows it. My only black rifle in the AR platform is a nice little American Spirit A2 carbine I bought at a gun show some years back. I've been meaning to change it over to a flat top carbine for some years so I attended the Crossroads show in Phoenix this weekend. I ended up walking out with a new Del Ton stripped lower and some low cost carbine length non floating hand guards with a rail system. There were no deals on uppers that I can't get through the mail so I figured a stripped lower in hand was better that something that doesn't require an FFL transfer. Speaking of which for Phoenix residents, Shooters World has a booth in the NW corner and is selling new Del Ton lowers for around $150 bucks. Nice guys and they are at the show. Rock River is also there with a stock of lowers. Please be nice to me when I ask the stupid questions that were already answered, azskeeter.
