| I tried to use Birchwood Casey's Aluminum Black to darken the engraving on my (about to be stamped) SBR lower. I could not get the small lines of the letters to darken. I tried using a soft brush to work the solution into the letters and wound up taking off some of the anodizing. I followed the instructions as well as I could, using alcohol to clean the area, rinsing it thoroughly, and letting the solution sit for at least a minute (over 5 minutes in one attempt) and nothing seemed to happen. What am I doing wrong? |
