Badass.  Even staked the castle nut.

Very SHTF-worthy.

Next: red-dot optic, e.g., Aimpoint on a LaRue mount, ammo, mags, etc

Shoot that mutha!

Veddy veddy nice. Would it be asking too much to ask you to post pictures of the rail on the handguard (where did you get it?) and light mount? and also how do you have your sling attached on the front? Where did you get the sling mount? Would you go with a polymer rail again or an aluminium piece?

I have a Bushmaster Patrolmans carbine (bone stock) and have thought about making very similar improvements to mine. Thanks for the info. Nice job on your's.

Thanks, I'll post a couple more pics when I get home. I would probably get the polymer rail again, mainly because the one i bought was able to be cut to one of 3 different sizes. So i was able to cut off most of the excess so my hands have room on the handguards.

Got the side sling mount at Del-Ton, which is a sponsor of this site. Can't remember where I got the rail from.

Heres some pics of the rail and side sling mount.

Looks awesome.

Very close to my bushy. There's a lot to be said for the "keep-it-simple" lines. My current build will be a more tricked-out and flashy zombie-buster.

Aww. Comon man. You know you want that on your couch.

But really, If you can get around the light placement, the optic placement, the laser placement, and all of the other quality parts, that really is a nice floor

Effing nice job - if that light setup works for you, then you're two purchases away from an unbeatable rifle (aimpoint, BUIS)

Agreed 100%.  Makes me want to take the rail of one of my AR's.  Or maybe just get another one.

Very Nice looking rifle.

Flashlight mount is a Mako Side Mount for 1" Aluminum Matte

Mako Flashlight Mount

I'm still looking for where I got the rail from, for the life of me I can't remember.
