Took my RRA Standard A2 chrome-lined 20" HBAR to the range today for its first shoot.

No "break-in", just shooting.

Zero'd with UMC at 50 yards and then shot Federal 69 grain GMM on paper at 100.

Shot 100 and 200 yard gongs with 55 grain PMC, Rem UMC, Federal XM193, and S&B.

No malfunctions.  Brass ejection was very consistant.  Trigger pull was outstanding.

No play at all between recievers.  I have to push the halves together very firmly while pushing the rear pin to get it in - but no hammering required.

Really nice gun.  Very precisely made.  No handguard slop.  Rear sight assembly has almost no play against back of carry handle and therefore points straight ahead.   Just a really nice gun.

To zero, the rear sight took 1 click right windage.  The front post took two clicks down into the sight base.

I am 42 and really struggle with iron sights any more... I guess I should get some glasses if that will help(?).  It was clear and cold late this afternoon (high 30s to low 40s I am guessing) and targets were in the treeline's shadow.  I had extreme dificulty seeing well enough to do the gun any justice.

In any case Gold Medal Match did 1.00" for 5 shots at 100 yards (one of those four holes is two rounds).

I recently picked up a RRA too and love it. Its my first AR so I dont have anything to compare it to but its worked great. Good to know others are enjoying this brand as much as I am.

The only thing I can complain about is my hand guard has some wobble but it dosent effect the shooting at all.

Had no complaints with my old Rocky.  Fine rifles.

I have been considering the UTE.  Do you have an EOtech or Aimpoint on that?  If so, how do you like having the rear sight there all the time?

I've got the same thing, except no chrome. A very fine rifle. To zero, I had to bottom out the front sight and file it down a bit, but the windage was fine. Enjoy it.
