So it begins....
I am hoping for some advice related to weapons purchase. I have recently purchased a Colt LE6920 and 1000 rounds of M193. So what I am asking for help with is what next? More ammo? a pistol? spare parts for the M4? If you care to help please list your suggestions in order and why. I am only concerned with weapons in this thread, I will post questions about training and the like in the correct forum. Most grateful for your assistance. E |

In this order (assuming this is your first one):
10-20 magazines (USGI or Pmag's) 2K-5K rounds (I would recommend PP M193, Federal, Winchester, and even some Wolf for cheap blasting) Another complete rifle Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Accessories, optics, etc. are the lowest priority because they develop into better offerings every year. Stick to the basics for ahile before blowing money on them, unless you have unlimited funds. |

Take the 1000 rounds you have now and store it. Then buy another 1000 rounds when you get a chance to use for practice and to get proficient with your gun.
As someone mentioned, get some P-Mags(30 rounders) and have enough on hand to last you a while. I would also buy a lower parts kit, and a good cleaning kit and some breakfree spray lubricant. I would also get a nice quality red-dot sight like a Aimpoint, or EoTech to mount on your gun, and possible change out the buttstock to a magpul CTR or a LMT SOPMOD stock. The rest is up to you. |
