I recently purchased a new Bushmaster and ordered a new FA (LaRue) BCG for it.  My question is can I or should I shoot the gun with both BCGs?  I believe I had read on here where you want to use a single BCG per rifle.  I will probably use the LaRue and keep the standard Bushmaster as a backup, but I wanted to shoot the rifle before the new BCG will arrive.

Thanks in advance

Minimum round count won't hurt it.  Just don't over do it.

Swapping bolt carriers between rifles is OK.  You want to keep 1 bolt paired with 1 barrel though.

So, since I only have 1 rifle and 1 barrel I need to wait until the LaRue arrives and break in the gun with that BCG?

Thanks!

The bolt carrier can be swapped between a couple rifles no problem, it's the bolt that needs to be paired to a barrel.

Go ahead and shoot it all you want now and replace the bolt carrier with the LaRue when you get it.  The bolt and the barrel will break in together so you want to keep the original bolt paired with the barrel.
