Hi everyone,
Wondering what happens if you unscrew the FS from the muzzle and fire. Will accuracy suffer? How well are bbl crowns generally machined, and does the FS act to increase accuracy at all? Curious, as I've read good and bad things about the vortex, which I'm considering picking up (A2 birdcage in the meantime), and I began wondering what would happen without any FS at all. Thanks! |
| You won't know about accuracy until you try it. I have seen rifles with FS on them shoot 2" groups at 100yd, removed the FS and the gun was able to do sub moa at 100yd. It depends on the barrel harmonics. This is the same principal of the browning BOSS system. Some times even loosening the FS about an 1/10th of a turn and lock tightening it down can improve / affect accuracy. |
