I like to get a bipod set up for my Bushy AR15 20" with triangular handrail, there are couples of choices out there as of 6"-9", 9"-13" ect.... . I do both target shooting on the bench and laying on the ground and mostly with 20 rounds mag (30 rounders when standing), what's size of bipod that most of you use.

Thanks.

I use a Harris 6''-9'', works great for me in the prone and on the bench.

Get the Bobro gen 2.

Its a little more on price but it has infinatly adjustable legs and you don't need to
buy the extra mount for the rail to bipod adapter.

fit and finish is top notch.

Edit: missed the triangle handgaurd part.
may not work for that application as well as for a railed handgaurd setup.

sorry about that. i'm not sure, both of them may work. i am by no means an expert on the Harris stuff. i forgot that your handguards had holes on the bottom. i would shoot Harris an email and check before you put down any cash.

i don't get around the retro stuff much.

so, i guess i'm not any real help.

if you had a rail i would say get THIS

Armed, no need to feel sorry for , I appreciated your help, very nice set up you've got there. I was thinking about the 9-13 one but don't know for sure if that's low enough for bench shooting (I'm 6' tall, don't know if that makes any different), I also want to use it on my Winchester 70(type 64) Feather Weight SS so I may need the HB2 for that.

Thanks.

for what it's worth i'm 6'2". the 9"-13" has worked great for bench shooting as well as prone. now when i'm seated at a bench (not much) i'm, more often than not, shooting flat or up hill. if you are shooting down it'll be a bit tall. at which point i fold it (bipod) up and rest it on the front edge of the bench.
it's like shooting off of a tall truck hood. you can use the bipod in the folded position to keep the rifle steady.

i use the AR for groundhogs, 'yotes and other small critters and it's been nice to have the taller legs for shooting down hill or in tall grass and brush.

i had the harris with the notches in the legs (HBRM) on my HS Precision but i hated it. a friend of mine traded me a regular one, like what i have on my AR. i could never get the notched one exactly where i wanted it. just my .02

It has alot to do with preference I would think. I have a harris swivel 9-13. I fire it prone collapsed, and on the bench I extend the legs some, I'm only 5'10" but its comfortable to me
