Hello all, a little background, I'm old, be 72 next spring, When I was packing for Uncle Sam we carried Thompsons and BAR's, so I'm out of touch with a lot of stuff. I ahd the occasion to fire an AR type rifle in .308 and was pleasently surprised, I liked it, so the next question is , where can I get or build one of these? The one I shot had a scope, (which my old eyes need) and shot really well. So is there a "starter" or "base line" rifle or components to look for? I'd like to stay with .308, don't have one but it's close to the 06, so.
