All right,
I need a suggestion on a match trigger for a large hole Colt.  CMMG isnt making a large hole until 2nd quarter 2009.  Im left with the McCormick , RRA , Timney or another brand.  For the money, what is the best?  Is the CMMG worth the wait??

I believe Geissele makes a large pin match trigger

Yes,  I currently have a large pin Geissele DMR in one of my Colt Lowers.  Check Brownells or call Geissele direct.

J.P. Enterprises has great single stage triggers for the larger pin colts as well.

Colt has a match trigger - it's the one in the Accurized rifle I believe. Contact Specialized Armament Warehouse, see if they can help.

I recently tried one of the Timney modular triggers and was really surprised at how good it is.  Otherwise, the single stage JP is hard to beat.

geissele is one of the best triggers out there, they have one for a large pin.  another option is to send it out to bill springfield, and have him tune it for you.  check out rainierarms.com for the geissele

RRA no longer makes the large hole two stage trigger, which is too bad because for the money, I think it is great.  I emailed White Oak Arms, and John said they are no longer available.

I just ordered a Jewell two stage from Brownells.  May get to install it this weekend.  The trigger is the only thing that I do not like about my 6920.

I had a gunsmith years ago create bushings for my big pin lower made from stainless they were press fit and had a lip on the outside and I used the KNS pins with keepers they were not moving it was awesome you could use any Standard LPK or trigger.

I sold that gun and wish I still had it, the guy that has it now runs a registered auto sear in that lower and never had a problem. Just an option to think about if you are going to keep it.

I have a JP Enterprises in my Colt.  Works great.  Think I got it from Brownell's years ago.

As the others have stated - single stage...either Timney or JP, 2 stage...either Geissele or RRA (however, I wasn't aware they are no longer made for the .170 Colt pins - too bad) - I'm sure you can find one somewhere though.

Also note: If you have an older Colt w/the Sear Block - the only 2 that I mentioned above that will fit/work would be the JP and RRA. If you have the "web" style of sear block (current production Colts) any of the above will work.
