How do you guys feel about xm193 ? Also, what does the "ball" mean in the term " 5.56 m193 ball"?
Gander mountain is selling it for about 7.50 + tax for 20 rds here in Ohio. Hows that? |

I really like my Federal XM193. It is definitely hotter than my wolf 55gr stuff, shoots pretty tight groups for me, and burns pretty clean also. My stash is 3years old though so I don't know if current lots are good to go.
Ball = full metal jacket, not a specialty round probably a carryover from the olden days when folks actually shot lead balls maybe? |

Natchez also has the xm193 made by Federal (black box silver/white logo) for 89.95 per 200 rnds. Picked up 600 rnds to try out on someones advice, its all headstamped LC 08 so atleast it's current production. I'll find out how it shoots right after Chrisstmas.

XM193 and Q3131 are on par with each other. The XM193 seems to be a little hotter lately, but both are my favaorites! 
What's really crazy I am seeing cases of each of these in town. The prices were HIGH though and I only bought a case of each. Wish I could have bought more. |

Wish I could have bought more. i dont think so my ar brother fed xm193 hotter than win q3131 tell you what after this wind dies down i'll break out a box of each my rifle and chrongraph and test them again this summer win q3131 was much hotter |
. If SHTF it will be short..for me. (I DO have much more 7.62x39 though for the AKM and SKS)
It's the little nicking stuff that really piss's me off.
