yes the two stage. Starting my first ar build, and am thinking of this trigger that comes with a cmt/stag parts kit. Any input?

I have one and love it.  It is a great trigger for accuracy but not as good for a 3 gun or SHTF gun.  I use mine in my varmint /bench rest gun. Hands down better than RRA 2 stage in my opinion and I have both.

How exactly is it better than the RRA's 2 stage?

It's adjustable and has less creep and a cleaner break IMO.  At-least mine does.

I have both the CMMG NM 2-stage trigger and a RRA 2- stage NM trigger.

I think the CMMG is a little lighter and a tad smoother. I just got two from Global Tactical and installed one in my Dad's AR-10 X-mas build. It's a nice trigger fo sho! (I'm hanging onto the 2nd CMMG and possibly installing it in a Noveske I just purchased).

The RRA NM is in my personal Stag 6.8 with a WOA 16" 1:11 twist stainless match barrell. It is very nice as well.

As some others have said, it may be a tad light for SHTF (then again, maybe not)... it all depends on your personal preference in a trigger. I had originally installed a standard DMPS single stage in my Dad's AR-10.... that sucker was like an 8 lb pull to get it to break. I wouldn't mind that style trigger on a CQB rifle, but if it has optics or a nice match grade barell, then step up and get a nice trigger for it, you won't be sorry.

If you can get the CMMG for the same price as, or even for $10 more than the RRA, I'd do it... it's very nice and adjustable.
