On a Colt 4 position stock, if stock closed is position 1, I shoot my Colt Carbines with the stock in position 2. On my new Colt 6520, about half the time when I pull the charging handle it hits the stock and stops...preventing a complete cycling of the bolt.  I can consciously lift up a bit on the charging handle and fix this problem; however, in a high stress situation, I don't want to have to count on remembering to do this.  I have not experienced this problem with my 6920 or my 6933.  Any suggestions?

Something is out of spec; my Gummint Carbine doesn't have the problem.  I can't make it foul the stock even if I push down on it.
Could be a sloppy charging handle...I'd try swapping CHs or stocks to see if the problem goes away.
Does your problematic stock have the ramped surface at 12:00?

If another charging handle will fix it, your good to go.  If not.  It will be cheaper just to file down the top of the but stock, and then sand it with some fine grit sand paper.  It will look ok, and still work.
