I am building my 2nd AR. My first is a bushmaster carbine. Today I got all the parts for my new lower. Its a rifle lower, for a 20" setup. I noticed that the buffer tube is longer and the buffer is different. Will I have a problem if I go test fire my lower with my carbine upper? I'm not 100% up on all the inner workings of the AR yet and what affects what.

Thanks
David

You will not have problems using a carbine upper on an A2 lower.

eta: Just don't switch the buffer assemblies (weight and spring) around
