What is the best magazine (as in periodical publication, not curvy metal thingy you put the bullets into) to subscribe to as an AR noob?

Shit, all I get is Field and Stream. In my opinion the gun rags are pure crap, and better info can be had on the internet for free.

I know I'm not really answering your question but you'll learn more here than from any magazine.

The only one worth getting IMHO is SWAT.

With writers like Pat Rogers and Scott Reitz you'll get good info on ARs and how to train with them.

How about a source for a nice AR15 poster?  A big one, exploded parts view, etc, suitable for pegging up over the workbench.

After subscribing to almost all popular titles(ie. G&A, GUNS, American Handgunner, etc.)....the only one I can't live without is SWAT.  Great articles and you will learn a lot.

My favorite are SWAT and American Handgunner
