I know forged is better but I'm curious if there are any manufacturers making cast lowers?

The only thing the plinker from OLY doesnt have is a chromelined barrel..uppers and lowers are forged.And with forged being every where now a days I dont think anyone currently makes a cast lower.

That is an accurate statement and it's been more than 2 years since the Plinker went to forged.
