Does Colt test fire their AR's before they leave the factory?

Just got a NIB 6920 and the little block next to the ejection port has a little "nick" where it looks like brass hit it.  What do you think?  I am by no means upset and this is not another thread about scatches and nicks on new weapons, I could care less, just curious if they test fire.

You will also find a dirty bore and receiver - just some stray particles of brass and powder with some dirty oil. The tail of the bolt and the inside of the carrier may have some carbon/dirty oil. They evidently function-check but don't adjust the sights - on my new 6721 I had to put 10 clicks right windage on the rear sight, starting with the aperture centered. I still haven't decided whether to send the upper back to Colt.
