Is there a reason there isn't much, if any, information on this forum about the High Standard line of AR's?
Does anyone on here have one and use it? |
|
I purchased one about two years ago now and haven't had a single problem with it yet. It fires everything I've run through it and I've only had to tap the forward assist a couple of times in the two years. I'd have to say that I must have run about 5k rounds through it by now and it just keeps rocking and rolling.
If anyone else has one of these and likes it or dislikes it, please reply. It would be great to hear from others about their opinion of this AR. |

Thanks for the reply.
I purchased one from my local dealer. It is my first AR. It looks and feels as good as others I have held. Haven't fired it yet. I just don't understand why there is so little info out there about these. Is it because they can only be had from one distributor? |
| I have yet to run into anyone else with a High Standard AR unless they bought it from the same gunshop I goto. I think the reason is that they haven't been producing ARs very long. Mine has a serial number of #018xx. That was almost two years ago NIB, so they hadn't put too many out before that. I'd think that we'll see more on the market in the near future provided that no new ban is introduced. |
| It's been a while since this posting, but I thought I'd mention on the off-chance you'd see it. In Mar 09 I purchased my first AR. And yes, it was a High Std flat top from a gunshop in Albuquerque, NM. I've been unable to shoot it yet, but am looking fwd to it. Also, you might want to check out Gun Digest book on the AR-15 Vol 2 by Patrick Sweeney. He devotes several pages to the High Std. Sweeney's Bottomline: It lives up to it's name! It's a well built, good quality, basic AR. |
