I had heard that Armalite was bought out by Vulcan, and are not the company they used to be - literally

Is this true or just gun shop rumor?

In my 47 years, I've learned that 99 percent of what's shoveled at or between customers at gun shops is pure bullshit. The other one percent is pretty suspect, too.

From a strict financial standpoint I don't think Vulcan would have the money to buy Armalite.

a long long time ago... some company(not vulcan) bought the armalite name.  I forget who, eagle arms maybe?  someone should be able to tell you - or try wikipedia, seriously.
