Advantage for heavy is Less felt recoil Slower more positive extraction Ads dwell time to bolt Negatives Reduces Cycle time to a slower rate of fire. Only would matter to me if it was FA If it is a carbine gas system upper with a semi-auto bolt I would use a H1 buffer. If you have the carbine with an auto bolt assm. you may not need a heavy buffer. If it is a midlength or rifle with an auto carrier you would probably be ok with a standard. You can get one to try and just see how it works but if you don't have any FTE or short stroking problems you are ok already. |
