Ive been looking into making an SBR and saw the setup the guy had in the magazine guns for military and law enforcement and really like the look of the Spikes tacticool safety pictures and coloring like an HK. When I looked at prices on their lowers I was really surprised.

My question is why so cheap?? and are they reliable?

I bought two the other day.  Haven't had teh chance to shoot them yet, but eh fit and finish is top notch.

They carry a pretty high opinion 'round these parts.

They're made by LAR I believe, and are pretty much the same quality as any other lower. Mine has been fine. The finish is really nice.

Built two with their lower recievers. Both have functioned perfectly. I like the finish and the options as far as markings go.

awesome guys thanks for the info. I am thinking of matching it up with either an NGA or a Noveske upper, that should give it the final touch

TYeah all forged lower are basically the same.  You pay for the rollmark.  I love my spikes lowers.

Spikes makes some great receivers. I had them build an upper for me and that turned out top notch too. I have never hesitated to turn to them whenever I've needed something.

I ordered a lower with the American flag engraved. I picked a gun store off their site thinking it would be easier. Called gun store and he refused to do a transfer, fine called another store they were nice. Called spikes right back, updated it, sent in ffl, good to go. Got a UPS shipping notice stating they were sending my lower to the wrong store, called and called and after a few days finally got someone who explained I had to pay an additional $15 bucks for ups to change the address.

Not a big deal but wanted to share my experience, VERY happy with the product.
