I have a Bushmaster with the two-stage match trigger- which I believe is basically a CLE.

I'm trying to get the second stage very light, but it seems impossible.  The only way I know to adjust is by tightening or loosening the plunger spring.  Well, before I can get it light, I lose it completely.  In other words, the first stage becomes the *only* stage.  I understand that at light enough pressures this should happen, but it seems like it jumps from a 3lb. second stage to NO second stage- nothing in the middle.

It's very sensitive to small changes, so moving the plunger as little as 1/8th to 1/4th of a turn can make the second stage go bye-bye.

Any suggestions?  I think if I can get the second stage light it will be a very good trigger.

Thoughts?

sell it and buy a Geissele. Seriously, the CLE triggers are crap.

My brother has the bushy trigger you have, and he adjusted his..... Now it slam fires, and doubles and once almost automatic. If he hits his receiver the hammer drops. Very nasty trigger. Good luck but he has yet to figure his out. BTW I use a CMC trigger and it is the sweetest thing on the planet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, I was considering CMC, but they don't make a two stage, do they?

CLE Trigger Instructions

Note that CLE now sells Geissele triggers.

Yeah, those instructions don't really help my problem.
