Hi,

How easy is it to remove the SOPMOD STOCK and the BUFFER tube, and do you really need a spanner wrench or you can do it using your hands.

Thanks.

Pull DOWN on the stock body's adjustment lever & slide the stock to the rear. To keep from scratching the heck out of the castle nut you'll need a stock wrench to loosen the nut. Check to see if it's staked first. If it is then you'll need to displace the metal in the opposite direction of the stake & then loosen the nut with the wrench. Once the tube is loose take care not to let the take down detent spring go flying. Same with the buffer detent & spring so unscrew slowly. Buy the stock wrench & do it the right way.

There are other ways besides a proper stock wrench - but I highly recommend getting one.

*Don't worry about any staked material - the wrench will overcome it.
