Field gauge is the most imporant for an AR. If a round will chamber - then you've passed 'Go', so you just need to check to see if the headspace has gotten too large (hence the 'Field' gauge).

If im building a new AR do I NEED to check the headspace or will I be ok without doing so? Say a Young BCG in a DTI upper.
