New to this forum, forgive me if I ask a silly question...

I built an AR from parts. The upper and lower kit is from M&A Parts, the lower is DPMS.

Looks great, but doesn't want to load shells.

Load the first it's ok, pull trigger, boom. It won't feed another shell into the chamber.

I bought three mags from M&A and all three mags do the same. A buddy said I didn't have enough lube on the BCG. I lubed it with Break Free. A tiny bit better. Still has issues.

Is it a mag problem? They ran me $11 a piece, cheap I know. Or is it something with the gun? My fourth build and all others seem to run fine. Is there a perfect mag out there?

HELP! Please...

I would try different mags and maybe different ammo. People seem to really like P-mags these days and be sure to use FMJ ammo. Also what is it doing exactly when it jams?

Have you tried other magazines known to be good in other rifles yet?
What ammo are you useing?

I would try some quality USGI mags or Magpul PMAGS. Exactly what type of ammo are you running?

Where are the rounds getting caught up? Can you post a picture of the chamber area? Take one pic with no mag, and one with a loaded mag locked into place with the bolt locked back.

Four different types of ammo. Doesn't make a diff. And NO cheap russian crap.

The bolt won't close. Feels like it hits on the mag. Can't take a pic, left it at my dads house for him to shoot.

gotta be mags?

Bad mags or your Rifle is too dry.

Need a better description of the malfunction.

I'm with Quib. There is more than meets the eye here.

Are you loading 30 rounds in the mags?  Nearly allof my USGI 30 rnd mags will do the same thing unless I load no more than 27 rounds in them.  I can't speak to PMAGS, etc, as I don't have any of those.
You may want to try short loading them.

where is the bolt landing? does it move all the way forward without a round chambered? does it stay back? partially? all the way? Does the first round properly eject?

Could be a lot of things at this point... I messed up the first time I opened my Rifle myself and Quib and Alphaghost got me back on track.. but I agree that there is not enough info here to point to any specific part as yet.

Okki

"tiny bit better"
Does that mean it loaded a few and failed again?
Need the details...
