Just finished a couple of AR builds and threw em up on a fishing scale for a check. Because few builds are the same I don't know how useful this is but I thought I'd throw the numbers out there... just because... All rifles were weighed with an empty chamber and no magazine. First rifle: C7/8 A-1 upper with Bushmaster Superlight 16" barrel, standard handguard, and an m-4 adjustable stock on a mil-spec tube ... came out to 5 Lbs 15 ounces. Second rifle: A-2 Upper with Bushmaster 14.5" M-4 Barrel w permanently attached Phantom, standard handguard, and an M-4 adjustable stock on a commercial tube... came out to 6 Lbs, 4 ounces. Just thought I'd share for those looking to put together or buy something similar.. |
