does it really matter what kind of stock you get. i've never shouldered an ar with an adjustable stock (im "deployed" to qatar, we dont need weapons) im sure getting a magpul adjustable would be nice, but im trying to stay cheap.  it seems like having a solid stock would make more since for accuracy, but the 6 point just looks so much more tacticool, but it also seems like it would be really sloppy. what do you think?

btw it'd be for a 6.5 upper, probably on a stag lower

I like quality adjustable stocks. Fixed stocks are a little long for my tastes. Doesn't make a difference accuracy wise (as long as you do your part), the magpul stocks especially are very solid.

Magpul MOE stock

Take a look at the new Magpul MOE stock, it fits tight on my 6 position CMT buffer tube and sells for less than about $60 with rubber buttpad included.

It's similar to the more expensive Magpul CTR stock except the MOE doesn't have the friction lock and the quick detachable sling mount.

If you don't need those extra features the MOE stock have great quality and an excellent choice in my opinion.

Thats the first time I've seen that one  --- the MOE.  I have a CTR and love it.  Its very solid, no wiggle room and I like being able to adjust the length between me and the sights.

I have the magpul CTR UBR and PRS and they are all exceptional at how solid and steady they are. I have the PRS on my 6.5
