No personal experience but isn't everything that Sig makes on backorder, I don't think that
means much. Just my 2 cents...

Your best bet is to hop over the the Sig Forum website. After getting my SR15 I was looking at getting a 556. At that time it was Febuary and I had seen the DMR advertised a couple places but not officially listed at Sig. When doing the basic inquiries on the Sig Forum I was all called a fucking idiot because no one there had heard of it and if it wasn't on their official website then it didn't exist. Well I'll be damned it's out now. It seems to be no more than just a long slower twist barrel on the basic 556 platform. Maybe if I have a chance to handle one my opinion might change but to me it's just not appealing. Remember this is just my .02¢

For what it is worth, you can get a better rifle for cheaper.  Not saying that the sig won't be top notch...even though there isn't much info by users out yet, but I am sure price per dollar you can build, buy, or bargain your way into something that will shoot tighter, be more parts friendly, and most of all, interchangable.
