I sold my A2 colt HBar sporter 2 years ago for $900.  I wish I hadn't...  I'd say the value is over 1k, but right now you will probably only get $900 to $1050.. but I'm only going off of what I've seen them go for locally.  I could be full of shit.

Many here aren't HBar fans.
Is your rifle chrome lined?  Bayo lugged?  Both would be a help.

I paid $1100 out the door for a Colt Sporter Match Target HBar at a gunshop about 6 months ago.  It's a preban, but no bayonet lug gun.  I bought it because it appearred to be in essentially as new configuration - it didn't have any wear where the charging handle contacts the upper reciever until I took it to the range, same for the rest of the gun.  I'd guess $1100 is the high end for a used colt, since they can be had new right now for as little as $1200.  Your gun may have more value in the still ban states, but may not.

it does not have a bayonet lug or chrome lined barrel.

so about a grand plus whatever for mags and ammo...

thanks
