Fellas - If you are in the market for an AR15 or any part of one. LMT is NICE!!! All I had before was a 16" Heavy Bar. Bushmaster. I upgraded it with a MagPul CTR and made is WAY nicer.

The 14.5" LMT with traditional barrel profile and a pinned on Phantom + SOPMOD stocked lower knocks that Bushmaster out of the water! Feel is just SO MUCH MORE RIGHT!!!!!

Topped off the LMT with an Aimpoint CompM3 and a BUIS fixed LaRue 1/3rd cowitnessed. Nothing Finer my friends. This is a PERFECT combo!!!!

Pictures and Range report to come.............

WOw, how much kick back LMT giving you.

YOu do know if you took those same parts "The 14.5" with traditional barrel profile and a pinned on Phantom + SOPMOD" only with Bushmaster parts,  you wouldnt notice a difference between the two.

You went from HB to to M4 profile, of course it will feel better, name has nothing to do with it. But you keep thinking what you want.

Glad you like your new rifle.  When something is put together right at the factory it just feels "right".

An out of the box LMT is a better built rifle than an out of the box Bushmaster.  When you spend that much on a rifle then you shouldn't have to do anything to it at all to make it more reliable .

Now let me go get my flamesuit out for the "just as good as..." crowd .

For the price of $1200 it  is a better built rilfle in and out. Doesnt matter what my other brand gun is. It simply is what it is.

It wouldnt matter if my HB profile rifle was made by Toyota. My Bushmaster has NEVER failed on me, it isnt built as nice but it has never failed on my. Simply saying, that the LMT is a different caliber IMHO. Came out of the box, CASTLE NUT STAKED COLT has been known to do this  and I have never even seen this anytime from an out of the box gun. THat just says alot about what the company looks for in fitting parts.

no ego , was just pointing out that LMT isnt the greatest thing on earth. That if he simply put the same exact accessories and barrel type on a Bushmaster and did a blind taste test, he wouldnt know the diff.

The bushmaster didn't feel right cause you put a CTR stock on an 16" Hbar.

If you 16" bushmaster was a gov't profile or LW profile you wouldn't have felt the same way about it.

LMT is good, but I've decided if I'm going upper tier AR, I'm going Colt all the way.

I just got my first AR a few months ago and its an LMT, Im happy with it, no problems yet.

I got the Aimpoint 2moa redot to give me controlled fast groups 1 1/4" groups at 25 yards. Is that what I am looking for?

The sticky dots I had are 1 1/8" and the red dot pretty much covered the target dot + my poor eyesight ended up with 1 1/4" groups. I understand that the 14.5" LMT is a combat set up so this is pretty much what to expect or do I need to do better?

I put the CRT stock on the Bushy to give me a slightly more compact when needed package for throwing in my truck. How many Colt HBAR's have a colapsable stock?? The beauty of the AR is optionshats

The rifle is capable of better. Just need more practice and likely better ammo.

Rifle might be, but if he's standing and doing that, he mathematically (5 MOA) is good on a torso-sized target out to 300m, no problem.

It's nice to hear that you like your LMT, shoot it often and enjoy it, congrats.

My 16" LMT are equipped with KAC RAS rails, MIAD grip, Vltor Clubfoot Modstock/ CTR stock, and Aimpoint, I'm very satisfied with it.

I'm currently running mine with LMT M16 auto BCG, BCM extra power bolt extractor spring, and LMT H buffer.

Actually that is not the case. You can keep saying it over and over but it isn't true.

Sorry....but you're wrong

lmt is once of the better rifles on the market. If you are trying to compare it to a Bushmaster you must be joking. Where is bushmasters.....

1. Quality control
2. Castle nut staking
3. Gas key staking
4. MP Bolt and barrel
5. F market front sight base
6. Aluminum trigger guard
7. T-Marks
8. 1/7 twist

and the list goes on. For a Standard Service Rifle it is the best, if you are looking for a custom DMR for long shot and not urban work Larue, Noveske or a costom build are were you should be looking.

Just my 2 Cents.

Not to steal the thread, but can you guys give me a few dealers to contact for pricing on a LMT and a web site or two that will give info on a completed AR15? I am new to AR's, I just purchased my first, which is a DPMS lite 16.....I have seen a lot of positive comments on LMT and would just like a little info on the completed gun. I have been to the LMT site but that did not give me pricing or a lot on different available models.

I bought one of my LMT lowers through www.rainierarms.com .  You can buy an LMT upper and lower through them and assemble.

Don't forget to check out Bravo Company.  Purchased my LMT upper from them and was very pleased.  Compared to my Bushmaster or RRA uppers, this LMT is amazing in finish, fit, etc.

But I will reserve final judgment for when i take her to the range.  Both the Bushie and RRA have been flawless on reliability and accuracy.
