CMMG Upper Question > AR Discussions

Anyone have an opinion/experience on the quality of CMMG carbine uppers?

Thinking of mating one to my DPMS lower and I'm concerned how well they'll fit together.

my mid-length is top shelf, couldn't be happier. great fit and finish, matched perfectly to my Anvil Arms lower

I have a 20" upper of theirs on a DPMS lower and it fits fine. I use an accu-wedge with all my ARs anyway though. I havnt shot it yet so i can`t tell you about that. It`s nice looking over all finish wise.

I have a 14.7" upper from them and it is the tightest fitting upper I own (it is mounted
on a GTS lower). The accuracy is wondeful out of it as well.

DM1975 & M4builder=the same guy with different user names?

OP: You should be able to fit any AR lower with another OR upper of various makes together w/out issue with the exception of the large pin Colts. There may looser or tighter fitting receiver mates depending on age & wear or just different specs of different brands. However, any receiver should be able to fit with another with no issues unless it's way outta spec. My CMMG upper is a little loose with any lower I put it on but I care as it shoots very well.

I think they are cousins or cell mates or something.

I believe they have both been to our table at a show at the same time, so we can vouch in fact 2 individuals.

I just bought a 14.7" M4 from a gunshow this past weekend. I put it on my spike's tactical lower and the fit is extremely tight. I had an accuwedge but don't need it because it's so tight with the lower already. I can't wait to shoot it.
