How do you measure a Mil-spec A2 FH? I have a stag upper
and an AAC Omni suppressor, the suppressor requires a peel
washer, which I was using, and a Mil-spec A2 FH. I could get
it all aligned and torqued properly but it still would not fit.
I'm certain the FH is too long but I would like to make sure.
I called AAC and the tech department said it should be a 20mm
FH I think, I can't remember but he definitely said either
20, 21, or 22 mm. No matter how I measure the one I have
I can't come up to a number similar to that. Thanks.

What is a "mil spec" flash hider?  I have looked through a number of MIL standards in my day and have never seen nor heard of one for a flash hider.

STANAG requires that muzzle devices have a diameter of 22mm for attachment of accessories.  This is probably what the techie at AAC was referring to.

I could get it all aligned and torqued properly but it still would not fit.

What is "it"?  Aligned how?  What do you mean by "not fit"?  Nobody measures flash suppressors on a regular basis, so you are going to have to do a much better job of describing your situation, your observations and your efforts if we are to have any idea of what you are talking about.

Thanks for the response, the it I was reffering to was the FH, to mount the AAC Omni they require the flats of the FH be at the 3 and 6 o'clock positions. With the FH mounted properly the suppressor would not fit on it.
