I am trying to figure out which mid-length free float handguard besides the PRI carbon fiber handguard is the lightest weight.

I would love to have the PRI but i just cant justify paying $300 for it.

I'm looking at the same thing, and it looks like Clark or Briley are the obvious choices. I'd like a Briley, but haven't been able to find one. Anyone know who has them?

ETA: Sorry, I misread your post. Didn't see you're looking for midlength.

Are there any railed handguards that are as light? How well would that glue hold up?

Not a good question or something?

Looked at the YHM Lightweight rails?  Probably not the lightest out there but the price is good.  I'm using the carbine length on my 9mm SBR.  Didn't seem to add too much weight to the front end.

Well for lightweight id say the DD M4 9.0. I had one and it felt lighter than the plastic HG's but ther up there in the high $200's as well.

I have the YHM lightweight mid length on one of my AR's its a 16" government profile but the rifle is unbalanced feeling more weight up front. My new rifle is a 14.5" lightweight barrel i am trying to get it as light as possible it feels great but i really want to barrel free floated. I might try putting the YHM on it....

Wow! is the 9.0 the mid length?

ETA - Well after doing a little searching it seems the going rate for a DD 9.0 lite is about $375 but Del-ton seems to be the cheapest with $299.
DD

ETA - found this (PRI Intermediate Forearm with Rails and High strength Aluminum nut .865lb. (13.8 oz.)

ETA3 - Found this also but doesnt look like they make a mid length model

As far as lightweight and rails - that's definitely PRI territory, and $300 isn't a bad deal considering that it's such a high strength carbon fibre unit.

Also worth looking at would be a VTAC unit - not as lightweight, but has totally modular attachments, so worth looking at in a similar such build.
