I have a unshrouded bolt carrier thats a SA. Is that a reason not to use it and why do unshrouded carriers suck so bad?...I do notice that the firing pin retaining pin is always bent after it is used.

The reason why it is bent, is cause' the back of the firing pin is pushing the hammer back instead of the bolt carrier. The force of the hammer pushes the firing pin up into the retaining pin.
