I want to mount my old Redfield 2.5x Fixed Scope on my DPMS Panther Lite 20. I have the Picatinny rail mount that attached to the carry handle. Does anyone know what rings might work? Not looking to spend an arm and a leg. The rail base is just under a inch wide. Type of mount I'm talking about.  Redfield 2.5x Fixed Scope

| Any rings that mount to a picatinney rail should work for your application. However, the carry handle mount base puts the scope pretty high, so you don't want rings that add much to the height, which is the exact opposite of the rings you would want mounting a scope to a flattop upper. If you can't get a good cheek weld off of the scope mount, rings, and carry handle configuration you wind up with, you can get a low cost cheek riser that mounts to your A2 style stock to improve the sight picture. Similar stock mounts are available for collapisbale stocks, but I don't know how they work personally, ownly having expericene with Carry handle mounts and A2 stocks. |
