I've got this M4ish rifle with an ACOG (TA01) and I'm thinking I'd like to mount a set of irons at about 45 degrees on the railed handguards. I've seen 3 gun shooters use something of the sort but the sights looked a little cheap. The sight needs to be tough and highly visible - useful in low light would be a plus. It only needs to be a rough aiming aid out to about 50m but I don't want anything that relies on batteries. Aperture is preferable to notch but I'm open to anything that works. I also can't have something hanging ten feet off the rifle. Any ideas or am I living in candy cane and gum drop world?

Thanks for the input - I have a mini red dot but I'm looking for something that doesn't require batteries.

Thanks. That's pretty close to what I'm looking for but it does look a bit heavy. Anybody else have an idea?

Maybe someone who frequents the  Optics, Mounts and Sights section can help
