| I recently purchased a colt 6721 upper receiver and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to keep the tritium insert in the front sight facing me without loosing my elevation. I heard that there was a way to move the sight so it is facing you without changing your elevation but I have no idea how to go about doing this. If someone could please answer my stupid question I would appreciate it. |
Depends on which tritium front sight you purchased. Not all of them allow the tritium to be rotated to face you. The cheaper ones will require your zero be off a bit. For the better units (Trijicon for example) the tritium vial sits in a unit which rotates on the base. Both (the base and tritium vial) are held by the front sight pin (a special pin with a extra tall nipple to engage both the base the vial). Once the elevation has been set, you just partially depress the pin so only the top part will rotate. Then rotate the vial to face the shooter. If you bought the Trijicon unit it should have come with a tool to help you do this. |
