I just removed the sear block in my colt AR all to install a new adjustable trigger all went fine until I nicked the inside of my receiver slightly with my cutting tool. Will this affect my being able to fire the gun safely?

I don't think so, but a pic would be nice to let more in the know guys see. I am sure someone on here will be able to tell you almost 100% when they see the pics.

Nicked or gouged?
Remember, an M16 has considerably more material removed inside the receiver to
clear the auto-sear...you are likely ok.

I just had ADCO do one for me . They drilled the lower for the Front pivot detent too . It came out nice .
