I bought my first AR yesterday after a couple of weeks of shopping around, it is a M&P 15. I got it for $1150, which was about $150 more than the Bushmaster I was looking at getting.

Its a stock M4 configuration for now, but I waill be added bells and whistles to it as time goes along I guess my next purchase for it will be some type of reddot optics.

Going to the range tomorrow and running some Q3131 through it.

You chose wisely.  I would definately pay 150 more over your other option.  Plus you get a rebate!  For that 150 extra you got a LMT bolt, Milspec buffer tube, F marked FSB, all of which Bushmaster doesn't offer.  I looked at a MP15x that a co-worker got and it appeared that it had M4 barrel extension but no M4 cuts in the reciever.

Very nice choice Im curious to see how it shoots the q3131 , I have a few boxes that dont like my rifle ie short stroking and then a few were I have no problems ... this WWB is the only ammo I have problems with .... but maybe in a few 100 more rounds itll be good mines also an M&P
