just thought i would share my experience with smith enterprise. yesterday i received my vortex flash hider i was very impressed by the quality of the workmanship. this morning i called them because i had a couple of questions. i got the answering machine. guess i forgot about the time difference. i didn't leave a message or my phone number figuring i probably wouldn't get a call back.

about an hour later my phone rings and the guy on the other end says he's ron smith from smith enterprise and asks how he can help. like i said i didn't leave a number or a message but i get a call back any way. how often does that happen. anyway i asked him a couple of questions and he answered them very politely and professionally and then we start talking ar-15 stuff. we talked for about 15 minutes. this guy doesn't know me from adam and we're talking like old friends.

he starts telling me about a new product that he will be releasing shortly. a combination flash hider/compensator. he said the overall length is about the same as the vortex but the prongs are only about half as long. the area under the prongs is solid with gas port openings to redirect the blast. he was very enthusiastic about his new product. he said that testing showed it to be extremely effective at keeping the muzzle down and on target. he aslso said that it should be available shortly as soon as he gets his first batch back from the heat treater.

he asked me to spread the word. so here i am spreading the word. i figure if the guy was good enough to call me back then what the heck. if his new product is as good as his flash suppressors it might be worth a look.

i learned something else about him as well. he is very gung ho about supporting our troops fighting the war on terror. i for one am glad to see someone making a product that might help save the lives of our military personnel. i served for 23 years on active duty in the united state air force. i have my own thoughts on whether or not we should be in iraq or afghanistan but i am proud of what our troops are doing.

anyway for what its worth i just thought i would share that with you all. it was a good experience and i would recommend his products to anyone.

It is good to hear about a company like that!

I can't wait to see their new flash hider. I wonder how it will compare the the FSC556?

That is why my AR15's have Vortex's and SE BCG's. My AR10 will be sporting a Vortex as well

Hell yes!!! I love my Vortex. If you want to see what a company should be, Youtube search for Smith Enterprise or even Vortex. You will find an interview with them and how it became what it is today.

Ron Smith of "SEI" is 100% GTG

These are pics of a Springfield Squad Scout with upgrades from Ron Smith. Many of the upgrades are internal........ this is your "Home Land Defense Weapon".
